Farewell Spring Interns

We had a great group of interns this spring and we hate to see them go, but wish them all the best in their future endeavors!

Welcome Back Michael!

You may have noticed Michael's absence in the gym over the past 6 weeks as he completed a clinical rotation for school, but we are happy to announce that he is back in the gym and ready to start training with you all again!

CORE C.H.A.M.P.s

This month's employee C.H.A.M.P. is Morgan! Morgan is a true team player, always lending a helping hand and thriving when the gym is at its busiest. She makes sure all of our lovely clients feel accomplished before they leave the gym for the day, and has been a great example of hard work for our interns.

As this month's C.H.A.M.P., Morgan has selected Elena as our CORE Client C.H.A.M.P.! Elena's work ethic toward her recovery has proven that hard work does pay off. She's started driving, can complete leg presses independently, and is walking in her braces using crutches. We can't wait to see what else she can do! Keep up the great work!

fun food facts

Fun Food Facts We've got something new and exciting cooking at CORE! We'll have more information on our Nutritional Guidance Program available soon, but in the meantime, please enjoy this nutrition fun fact:

Before 1990, nutrition labels were not required and were rarely seen on packaged foods. Labeling of packaged foods was not mandated by the FDA until that point. The most recent update to the nutrition label was in 2020. You can use food labels to understand the amount of energy provided by your food, the percent daily value of different nutrients included in your food, and to help yourself make informed decisions on things like saturated fats, sodium, and sugar.

You can catch more nutrition facts on our social media. If you don't follow us already, be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.

Aquatic Training Sessions

Start your summer off right with Aquatic Training Sessions. Take a dip in our heated indoor pool and experience the extra benefits the water has to offer. Talk to one of our Aqua Specialists to find out if Aquatic Training Sessions are right for you.

How Can You Support the CORE Foundation?

The CORE Foundation was founded in 2011 to provide needed financial support and education for individuals with spinal cord injury or other neurological conditions, providing them the opportunity to participate in much needed activity-based training sessions. In 2022, the scholarships supported over 3,000 hours of activity-based training for those challenged with paralysis.

The CORE Foundation Scholarship is funded by the generosity of individual donations, fundraisers, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic foundation grants. You can help the CORE Foundation by attending events, such as the Reindeer Run & Roll 5k, grabbing a snack at the Foundation Fuel Market, or donating directly to the CORE Foundation.
