Rock Steady Boxing is a n­­­­­on-contact boxing class specifically for people dealing with Parkinson’s Disease. By working with our Rock Steady Boxing coaches, you will learn how to work with your symptoms and get an effective workout. Research has shown that high intensity exercise helps slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease. Boxing for Parkinson’s is growing in popularity among the Parkinson’s community. Our classes are 75 minutes in duration with a focus on:

It’s no surprise that research has also found that exercise has many health benefits. A research study done in 2013 compared boxing type training vs traditional exercise and the effects on function and quality of life for Parkinson’s patients. In a group of 31 Parkinson’s patients, the researchers noticed improvements in balance, mobility, and overall quality of life for all participants. The boxing group experienced additional benefits, including improvements in gait, velocity, and endurance.
