Experts across the country agree, children require early, intensive rehabilitation to combat secondary health conditions that arise from growing up with paralysis. CORE is one of the top facilities in the world to offer an Activity Based Training Program for children with paralysis. Most traditional therapy programs are created for adults and then modified for children.

However, CORE developed a pediatric specific program with specialized equipment for children and adolescents. Our team has years of experience individualizing training programs with the unique physical, developmental, educational, and social needs of our pediatric clients at the heart of it. Our team combines recreational and functional activities to challenge and motivate our pediatric clients based on their needs. We also offer Aquatic Training options and recommendations for home equipment and tools to further assist in developing maximum recovery and independence. Additionally, CORE has the ability to grow with your child and provide a seamless transition of care as they age.

CORE has worked with pediatric clients diagnosed with:

  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Transverse Myelitis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Acute Flaccid Myelitis
  • Spinal Tumors
