Moving Beyond Paralysis Together

What an incredible year it has been for the CORE community!

Last August, we launched the Moving Beyond Paralysis Together Endowment Campaign for the CORE Foundation with an ambitious goal: to build lasting support for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions who participate in CORE’s activity-based recovery programs.

Throughout the campaign, our community found so many creative ways to come together in support of the mission. From Ribbon Up for Recovery and our Spring Cleaning Trunk Sale to the many donations, sponsorships, and acts of generosity along the way, every contribution helped move us closer to a stronger future for the CORE Foundation.

We celebrated the culmination of the campaign with CORE’s 15th Anniversary Masquerade Benefit Ball, and what a celebration it was! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and supporters, the Benefit Ball raised more than $100,000 for the CORE Foundation, bringing our campaign total to almost $600,000.

But the numbers only tell part of the story. This campaign was a reminder of just how special the CORE community is. Friends, families, businesses, donors, volunteers, clients, and supporters all came together around one shared belief: recovery should have the opportunity to continue, regardless of financial circumstances.

The support raised through this campaign will help the CORE Foundation continue providing financial assistance and education to individuals who need it, helping make participation in activity-based recovery possible for those who might otherwise face financial barriers.

To everyone who donated, sponsored, volunteered, attended an event, shared our campaign, purchased a raffle ticket, or simply cheered us on along the way—thank you. Your support is helping us move beyond paralysis together, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to the next 15 years of recovery, possibility, and community.

Kaity and Frank

CORE C.H.A.M.P.s

Each month the CORE team nominates fellow team members they feel have gone above and beyond to be the CORE C.H.A.M.P. This month Kaity was selected as C.H.A.M.P.! Kaity may sit at the front desk, but she’s always making sure things are running smoothly behind the scenes, whether it’s a regular day at CORE or at the Masquerade Benefit Ball.

As this month’s C.H.A.M.P., Kaity has selected Frank V. as our Client C.H.A.M.P.! Frank is a kind soul and brings joy to everyone around him. If anyone at CORE can make you feel welcome, it’s Frank! Frank isn’t just a ray of sunshine, he’s dedicated to his recovery and his hard work shows. Recently his posture, balance, standing, endurance, and lower extremity strength have all shown improvements.
