September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month

September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about spinal cord injuries (SCI) and promote prevention strategies. While sharing facts and statistics with the general public is crucial, this month we want to focus on the amazing organizations and companies—many founded by individuals living with SCI—who are making a difference today.

These organizations offer vital resources, products, services, and support to empower the SCI community. From long-standing institutions to innovative newcomers, we’re excited to highlight these organizations that are transforming lives.

Check out these incredible resources:

About The CORE Foundation

Founded after Matthew Davies sustained a C6 spinal cord injury in a 2005 car accident, CORE is dedicated to helping the paralysis community in Florida. After years of therapy, Matthew and his wife, Melodie, discovered that a rigorous, activity-based training routine offered the best results for physical, clinical, and emotional recovery. CORE’s mission is to provide education and financial support for those facing paralysis, helping them access life-changing rehabilitation services.
